Two mornings in a row!

I woke up a little later than I wanted to this morning, but at lease I did get up. I only had time for a 20 minute ride (5.7 miles).

I'm not planning on riding tonight. I'm going to kick back and veg all night. :-)

Got out of bed early

I got up this morning and biked for 40 minutes (11.4 miles). I would love to do that every morning, but that means I have to get my butt out of bed early. That is not likely to happen much, but I'll think about trying.

I got on the bike after work (and Happy Hour). I rode an hour (16.5 miles). I'm sleepy buy my legs feel good. I really need to start pushing myself pass the 1 hour mark. I also need to get a different tire for the back of the bike. The bike trainer is really wearing out the tire.

Night off

I went to yoga yesterday. I planned on riding my bike tonight. I had a long day at work. I went to the chiropractor and got adjusted. I'm a bit sore. I figured I would give myself the night off and let the adjustment settle.

Not a bad couple of days

I worked out yesterday on the bike for 1 hour 15 minutes (20 miles). I took it easy today and just did a 1/2 hour (7.5 miles). Not a bad end to the week.

Butt don't want to workout.

My butt hurt today during my 1 hour 15 minute (20 mile) workout. Normally it doesn't bother me too much. Maybe tonight I was developing new muscles. Ha-Ha :-) My butt is going to have to get stronger if I'm going to survive this trip.

Merry Christmas

I got back on the bike today for and hour (14.4 miles). I felt pretty good too. I needed to work off the Christmas season. Too many goodies.

Still Trying

I went to kickboxing last night and yoga tonight. I still haven't gotten back on my bike. I have the next 5 days off work. I plan on riding (in the basement of course) at least 4 of those days.

Getting back on track

I was sick last week so I didn't do anything. I managed to go to yoga last Sunday and kickboxing last night. I hope to get on the bike this weekend. It's hard to get the exercise in with the holiday season. I'm working on setting up an exercise schedule for January.

Taking it easy

I decided to take it a little easy today. I feel like my body is trying to fight off something. I went to yoga class and did try to push myself. I felt really good, but tired after class.

Daylight is good

I have decided that I do better on the bike and treadmill during the day. I think that night time just makes me sleepy. I just need to make it past the Winter Solstice on December 21st. The days will slowly start getting longer again.

I biked for an hour (11.5 miles) with very little boredom. I then walked on the treadmill for a half hour (1 3/4 mile). I felt pretty good afterwards. I wish I could workout in the afternoon everyday, but work just gets in the way of my playtime. :-)

Yoga makes me feel better

I woke up with a sore throat this morning. It has stayed with me all day. I was pretty tired when I got home from work.

I took a nap for about 1/2 hour. I forced myself to get ready and go to yoga. It was what I needed. I still have a sore throat but I feel better. My Thursday night yoga friends always make me feel better.

Trying

Well I'm trying to exercise as much as I can. I would like to only take one day off a week. I only did the bike tonight (12 miles in 1 hour). I had all these plans for tonight's workout. I was going to bike for an hour, walk half an hour on the treadmill, and bike for another half hour. It was about 8:30 by the time I got home and got on the bike. I got through the biking and decided I needed to get ready and go to bed.

Nothing special today

I ate pretty good today. I went to yoga class for an hour. Then I meditated for a half an hour. I came home and wanted to get on the bike. After 15 minutes I was sleepy so I only did 4 miles tonight. At least I did something.

Forgive me for I have sinned.

I overindulged and didn't workout all weekend. Basically I was fat and lazy. I'm paying for it now. I've struggled all day not to overeat. I wanted to come home and go to bed right after work.

I forced myself to get on the treadmill. I walked/jogged 3-3/4 miles in 1 hour. I went to kickboxing class too. I'm very sleepy now.

Giving Thanks

Today is Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for this year. I have a wonderful husband, family, and friends. Both Eric & I have good jobs and a lifestyle that allows us to have our toys and hobbies.

Today I was thinking about the children that the Make A Wish Foundation help. They are helping children who are not able to do all of the things that my life and health allow me to do.

Taking that into consideration I decided to step it up a little today. I walked/jogged on the treadmill for 1/2 hour (2 miles), then I rode the bike for an hour (15.6 miles). I struggled as I exercised today. I just tried to remind myself of all the people in the world who physically can't walk or ride a bike. All the people in the world who don't have a house to live in, let alone the time to just exercise for fun.

I'm thankful for my life, family and friends.

Still moving

Well it's been a long day getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Eric & I had to get the house cleaned, so I missed kickboxing class. I made sure I did do something tonight. I biked 11 miles in 40 minutes. I just have to make sure not to overeat tomorrow.

Housework burns calories too, right?

Feeling Good

I kicked butt today. I went to yoga and felt so good when I came home. I jumped on the bike and watched the rest of 'Biggest Looser'. I biked for one hour (18 miles). I got off the bike and still feel great. I love when I have workouts like this.

Good Day

I had a pretty good day today. I biked 50 minutes (14.2 miles). I actually wanted to ride a little more, but I had to get ready for Cardio Kickboxing class.

Just keep pedaling

I biked 45 minutes this morning (12 miles).  I'm not too worried about my speed yet (although I'm going to need to get faster at some point).  I'm more worried about the boredom.  I wanted to bail after 15 minutes, just because I was bored.  It's different when I bike outside the scenery changes.  I'm going to have to find something on TV to focus on while I'm riding indoors.  Until I find something, I just have to tell myself to just keep pedaling.

Trying to get started

I rode the bike Tuesday for 20 miles.  I was restless for the first 5 miles or so.  I settled in after that.  I did take a couple of short breaks to grab some water.

I went to cardio kickboxing Wednesday night and my inner thighs were killing me by Thursday night.  I tried to ride Thursday night, but only rode 8 miles.  I stopped 3 times to stretch my legs.

I'm not sure how to get this whole training thing started.  I've been trying to find some sort of schedule on the internet.  Something to help me figure out what my weekly goals should be.  I have found some information, but no luck in finding an actual training schedule for a 300 mile tour.  I did find one for a 100 mile ride.  I'll keep looking and in the mean time I'll ride as much as I can.

What was I thinking?

What did I just commit to? I just starting riding a bicycle in the Spring and bought a road bicycle a couple of months ago. The furthest I've gone at one time is 20 miles (and I only did that once). Now I have signed up for the Make a Wish Foundation's "Wish a mile 300 mile bicycle tour". I must be nuts.
